Are There Interactions Between Ketamine and Other Medications?

Very few. Although ketamine has few interactions with other medications, some drugs may reduce its effectiveness or increase side effects. These include benzodiazepines, ADHD stimulants, certain antiseizure medications, and antibiotics. It is important to avoid alcohol and cannabis for at least 24 hours before treatment. Your provider will review your medications and offer guidance as needed.
